The GFA is a charity for families living in Britain, who have adopted or are in the process of adopting children from Guatemala. Our primary goal is to support internationally adopted Guatemalan children, now living in Britain, actively to keep a connection with and understand their roots and Guatemalan culture. We are also happy to help, with our own experiences, those in the process of Guatemalan adoption.

Unfortunately, we've had to postpone the workshop. Everyone who has booked has been informed and we hope to have a new date for the workshop soon.  A workshop on the teenage years which examines adolescence and the impact adoption has on this challenging time for both teenager and parent. Jan Way is a social worker and trainer with over 30 years experience in inter country adoption. She is an adoptee herself and a parent of a child adopted from overseas. This parent only workshop is organised by the GFA, but is open to all adopters with children nearing their teens or in their teens. Please forward details of the workshop to anyone who might be interested.
